why Daddi Fadel decided to make these courses?

I started my experience as an optician and contact lens practitioner about 25 years ago. I had many doubts and many questions on how to apply theory to clinical practice. How to select the contact lens wearer candidate? How to select the contact lens modality? How to manage the issues and complications related to a non-optimal fitting relationship between the lens and the ocular surface? After many years of practice, continuous education, and discussions with International professionals, I understood what I should have done and what I would have avoided. Now, I would like to share my knowledge with clinicians who, like me, have doubts and want to deepen their skills in specialty contact lenses.

ONE-TO-ONE COURSE

Private courses

A private course totally personalized depending on the needs of each individual optometrist who has a great interest in myopia control and scleral and corneal lenses.
The course consists of 6 virtual one-hour lessons. Before starting the course the professional will complete a questionnaire that will allow me to understand his level of knowledge and where more insights are needed.

ADVANCED COURSE

After completing the One-to-One course, I remain available for consultation, further study, and assistance for any need, including the management of a clinical case.

GROUP COURSE

A course, virtual or in-person, dedicated to a group of colleagues who want to deepen some aspects of specialty contact lenses. Each member will complete a questionnaire which allows me to identify the level of knowledge and understand where more insights are needed. The course for a group is for 10-12 participants.

ONE DAY IN MY CLINIC

Do you want to know every detail of the specialty contact lens application process? Come and spend one day in my optometric clinical practice observing every step of the application process:

candidate selection,
case history (dialogue, questions and listening to the patient),
selection of the first diagnotic lens,
observation of clinical signs and recognition of problems,
changes to be made,
patient's education on the application, removal and care of contact lenses,
management of the issues,
design of the lens to be ordered.

For the follow-up visits, you will observe the following steps:

evaluation of the application and recognition of clinical signs observed when the lens is applied on the eye,
refraction and over-refraction,
verification of a possible lens flexure on the eye,
observation of clinical signs after lens removal,
compliance verification,
management of the issues and changes to be made.
